Valkenburg, Netherlands 30th October - 3rd November 2012

Valkenburg the town of spas and sidewalk cafés, of caves and castles will host the 2012 ISKA Amateur World Championships. Tourists have been travelling to this city in the beautiful South Limburg region of the Netherlands for more than 150 years, the many attractions include 12th century castle ruins, the velvet marlstone caves, the Thermae spa with hot pools, steam baths and saunas. You can take a chairlift up the hill to the Wilhelmina Tower, and then ride a bobsled back down the hill.


At the night the Centre of Valkenburg has many attractive restaurants and lively bars, sitting high above the town looking like a villain’s lair from a James Bond movie is Holland Casino if you want to gamble the night away.


The ISKA World Amateur Championships will be staged at the Polfermolen Sports Hall a well-appointed centrally located venue. Weigh in and registration will take place on the 30th October followed by three days of competition on the 1st , 2nd & 3rd November. Martial Artists young and old from around the globe will compete in several disciplines on the mats including Semi-Contact, Light-Contact, Kata/Forms and Ring-sports Full Contact/Low Kick Kickboxing and Oriental Rules/K-1 and MMA. Over 40 countries are expected to attend.
